Tongkat Ali is quintessentially Malaysian. With its scientific name, Eurycoma longifolia, the plant has been used for centuries to revitalize health and energy.
Tongkat Ali is commonly known as ‘Pasak Bumi’ (Indonesia), Cay Ba Binh (Vietnam), Pin Yin: 东革阿里 or Dōng gé ālǐ (China), ‘Longjack’ (United States) and ‘Malaysian Ginseng’ by the locals.
The Tongkat Ali tree grows naturally in the tropical rainforests of Malaysia and has been consumed from as far back as the 19th century for various health purposes.
